The renu team have all been working hard this week ready to welcome you back to the salon on Friday.
Government guidelines continue to change as the virus is becoming more under control and please rest assured that we are constantly checking that we comply completely so we can ensure your best possible safety and that of our team. There is some confusion at this point about masks so we have reviewed our risk assessments in line with the government guidelines and given you details below.
I have listed below the procedures that we have now adjusted and put in place in preparation for our opening on Friday. As and when the situation changes, rest assured we will keep you informed every step of the way.
TREATMENTS AVAILABLE
What is completely clear is that all facial treatments are banned for the time being. We understand that this is a little confusing and certainly frustrating as beard trimming and eyebrow trimming is permitted on the face in barbers and hair salons. Facials and facial treatments equate to approximately 35% of our treatment business so we will be delighted when we can re-introduce them too, but much as we are keen to keep renu alive and kicking we recognise that the health and wellbeing of you and our loyal team is more important than any price.
It is also against the law to carry out any treatments on the face and the Government are implementing a £3000 fine plus up to 2 years in jail where this is ignored.
Therefore we are unable to offer any Decleor, Carita or Crystal Clear facials or any facial waxing, electrolysis , threading or any eyelash extensions or tinting. If you are on our waiting list for any of these treatments we will contact you immediately that this ban has been lifted.
SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR YOUR VISIT
Prior to your arrival you will be emailed twice, the first email is to confirm your appointment which will be sent 3 days before your treatment. This is a good time to confirm if you are unable to attend due to COVID-19 symptoms. The second email will contain any relevant consultation forms needed to proceed with your booked treatment, complying with GDPR. This will be sent to you 48 hours prior to your treatment. You need to complete this form before you arrive for your treatment.
Please arrive to the salon alone, at the allocated time and bring the minimum of belongings.
Please use the sanitising station before entering reception.
Please arrive wearing a mask. (see notes below)
N.B. The government have now made it mandatory to wear a mask in shops and supermarkets from 24th July. So, for this reason we ask you to arrive in a mask whilst you are in the reception area.
The government guidelines state that in close contact work or where social distancing cannot be observed your therapist should wear a visor, therefore please expect your therapist to be wearing a visor throughout your treatment. The government guidelines also state “there is no need for the client to wear any additional protection such as a mask or face covering when the practitioner is wearing a visor” It also states “there may be some circumstances when wearing a face covering may be marginally beneficial as a precautionary measure, but these are not an alternative to wearing a visor in close contact services. Therefore, you may be asked to keep your mask on for certain close contact treatments (such as manicures)
Please practise social distancing around anyone else in the salon.
We are fortunate that our beautiful reception area allows for at least 4 people to be 2 meters apart. Please keep your distance in corridors and on the stairway as much as possible.
Your therapist will collect you from reception and ask you to wash your hands-on arrival in the treatment room.
The windows in the treatment room may be open to allow maximum ventilation so you may experience more road noise than usual.
N.B – fans are now permitted in the rooms as they are considered to help to increase ventilation.
Your therapist will remain in the treatment room whilst you change but will turn her back and wash her hands before she commences your treatment.
You will have time to discuss any product purchases and arrange any re-bookings whilst in the treatment room with your therapist to minimise time at reception.
Please try where possible to pay by card, but we will accept cash payments.
We are unable to offer magazines or refreshments, but we will provide a water station in reception with disposable cups where you can help yourself to chilled water on your departure.
Our hygiene standards throughout the salon will also continue to be of our usual high importance.
We do hope that you understand the reasons for implementing these measures as the safety of our clients and staff are paramount. However, we will still offer you the outstanding friendly service and standard that you would expect. On this matter we would never change.
We look forward to seeing you back in the salon soon,
